Born to Mrs. Covington, a homemaker, and Mr. Covington II of the U.S. Air Force, raised in LA with Baptist faith.

Known as "Latasha" in high school, excelled academically and in entertainment, member of Bethany Alpo. Pen. Community Church and now today, a spiritual being, embracing this human experience, and living her own best life in her truth freely.

I pursued fashion design and cosmetology, entertainment for many years and attended Barbizon school of modeling.

Joined entertainment industry as "Ms. Brown Sugar," 1st place winner of the Miss Gay West Coast beauty pageant in 1980

Transitioned into healthcare, working with Sage community and HIV/AIDS advocacy, including Minority Aids Project (M.A.P.), Office of Aids Programs and Policy, and Substance Abuse Foundation.

Founded Unique Point of Refuge for sober intent living, providing transitional housing for transgender siblings of color, while being sensitive of the TGI community at 1001 N. Martell Ave., Los Angeles, California.

Engaged in the transgender community supporting the TGI and advocacy, collaborating with organizations like Trans Latina, UWC, Flux, St. Jhon’s Hosp., and other Common Grounds Trans Program.

Continues passionate work in the housing, wholeness, and wellness, community involvement, leveraging expertise gained from experiences at Friends Research Institute and Creative Networks. Now known as "Queen Unique Ziar'," dedicated to empowering the transgender communities with compassion for the TGI community and advocating for social change. #Ashe
